Welcome to the Community!
You can connect to Wi-Fi via your settings and it will show the Wi-Fi icon below when successfully connected
If you are referring to 3G/4G/5G you will see the icon in the top corner of the screen.
You may need to turn mobile data on via your settings for it to work.
