    Hi @Sprag28,

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear that a different number is showing when you send SMS messages. I understand how confusing this can be, particularly when you expect your own iD Mobile number to be displayed.

Please first make sure that the correct number is saved under your handset settings.

    If you’re using an iPhone:

    • Go to Settings > Phone > My Number.
    • Check that your correct iD Mobile number is displayed.
    • If it’s incorrect, change it to the number you wish to keep. It may not update or save immediately.
    • If the number still doesn’t change, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    • Enter your passcode if prompted and confirm the reset.

Please note that resetting your network settings will remove saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords and reset other network-related settings.

If you’re using an Android device:

    To check your phone number:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Tap About Phone or About Device.
    • Select Status.
    • Tap My Phone Number.

On some devices, this may instead be listed under SIM Status or SIM Card Status.

If your number is showing incorrectly in your messaging settings:

    • Open the Messages app.
    • Tap More (⋮).
    • Select Settings.
    • Tap Advanced.
    • Select Phone Number, if available.
    • Enter the correct number associated with your SIM and save the changes.

If the number is still incorrect:

    • Remove the SIM from your handset.
    • Restart the device.
    • Reinsert the SIM.
    • Check the number again in your phone settings.

If possible, you can also test the SIM in another compatible handset. Send a test SMS and check whether it displays your correct number or a temporary number. This can help establish whether the issue is related to the SIM or your handset.

If the incorrect number continues to show after completing these steps, please let us know and we can investigate this further for you.

We apologise again for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work through this with you.
