I had an id SIM only deal and just got a new contract, seems to be impossible to keep my number!! The PAC code doesn't work because it is the same network, how do I do this?? Currently have both numbers and contracts on the phone because the new one is an esim and the old one is a physical sim

    Hi @Mollie479,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble keeping your number.

From what you've described, it sounds like you took out a new iD Mobile contract rather than upgrading your existing SIM-only plan. Unfortunately, because both numbers are with iD Mobile, a PAC code won't work, as PACs can only be used when transferring a number between different networks.

iD Mobile doesn't support internal number transfers, so we're unable to move your existing iD Mobile number onto your new iD Mobile plan.

The best option would be to contact our Customer Service Team via Live Chat and ask about returning the new plan. Once that's been arranged, they can transfer you to our Sales Team, who can help you upgrade your existing plan correctly while keeping your current number.

You can contact the team here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

I'm sorry this isn't the outcome you were hoping for, but hopefully the team can help get you back onto the correct plan while keeping the number you want to retain.

    Regards,
