Why do I get syncing paused on my text messages as Iv stopped receiving them

Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble receiving text messages.

 

The “syncing paused” message usually appears when your device is having difficulty connecting to the network or messaging service. This can happen if:

  • The SIM or eSIM isn’t fully active on the device
  • Background data for the messaging app is restricted
  • Airplane mode or WiFi-only settings are interfering with your mobile network connection
  • The mobile number saved on the device does not match your iD Mobile number

Please check your mobile number in settings:

For Android:

  1. Go to Settings > About Phone > Status > SIM Status (or similar depending on device)
  2. Look for My phone number and ensure it matches your iD Mobile number

For iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Phone > My Number
  2. Ensure the number displayed is correct

Additional troubleshooting:

Android:

  1. Settings > Apps > Messages → Mobile Data & Wi-Fi → ensure Background data is enabled
  2. Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network → ensure Mobile data is on
    Restart your phone

iPhone:

  1. Settings > Messages → make sure iMessage is on
  2. Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data → ensure it’s enabled for Messages
  3. Restart your phone
