Trade in phone returned

I recently traded in an old mobile against an S25 for the enhanced £80 promotion (phone was only worth £2).

Without any correspondence the phone has been returned with a small slip saying "failed 3rd party verification".

The phone is fully functional and meets all of the requirements for a trade in (for this offer the phone didnt even need to work as long as it wasnt beyond economic repair).

I have emailed currys and when they do eventually respond have been unhelpful. All I got out of them was that they check it against a 3rd party system and it has come back with an issue, likely an IMEI mismatch.

I understand they use checkMEND. I have checked my phone IMEI number in this system and it has passed all of the checks and I have the report to confirm this.

Anyone know how I get this escalated?
