I had a iPhone 12 (normal sim) and transferred my old number to my new IPhone 16 (eSIM). Now when I try and ring people it says I’m ringing on a completely different number. However when I click on contacts and my number it says my old number still. When I go to settings - phone - my number it says the other number which I haven’t had before. It won’t let me change it to my old number.

Can you please power down the phone and remove the SIM. Please then power up the phone for around 20 seconds.
After this time, please power down the phone again and resinsert your SIM.
This should update your number or give you the option to change it within the settings.
