Transferring number to ID

I received my sim yesterday, inserted it in a second phone and tested the number, all was OK.

I then filled in the Switching form and entered the PAC as well as other details chosing today for the transfer. Transfer was confirmed for today between 10am and 6pm.

This morning the ID sim is showing no connection, and if I ring the number from a different phone it reports - invalid number.

I am hoping the sim goes live again with the transferred number later today - but is it normal.for or the sim to go dead for a period of time on the day of transfer?

Hi @pewe

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

When you request to bring your number over using a PAC, your number is transferred between 10am and 6pm on the chosen date. During this time, it’s quite common for your iD SIM to temporarily lose service or show “No network,” “Invalid number,” or “No connection.” This is just while your old network releases the number and it’s being activated on our side.

You don’t need to do anything right now, just keep your iD SIM in your phone and try restarting it a couple of times throughout the day. Once the transfer completes, your iD SIM should reconnect automatically with your transferred number.

If your SIM still shows no service after 6pm today, please try one more restart. If there’s still no connection by tomorrow morning, get back in touch with us and we’ll be happy to check the status of your number transfer and make sure everything’s completed correctly.

If you do have any more concerns, please contact us privately via our Socials (Facebook or Instagram), Live Chat, Community or email us at socialqueries@idmobile.co.uk, so that we can assist you further.

Thank you.

@pewe  Some occasion the porting of one's number may be completed the following day.

So hopefully you'll be back up and running later today (Friday).

Joe 🙂
