Hi @Plev.

Thanks for explaining this. I can see how this has become a bit confusing.

Just to clarify, is your son’s SIM still working with the SIM that was activated on your device?

If that SIM is now being used with your number, the simplest solution would be:

You use the SIM that was issued to your son

Then order a new replacement SIM for your son’s number

When activating it, make sure it is set up with your son’s mobile number (not yours)

This will ensure both numbers are correctly separated and linked to the right accounts again.

Let us know if you’d like help arranging the replacement SIM and we’ll guide you through it.

Thanks,

Marquerita

Thank you for getting back to me so quick.

I now have a working sim in my phone. My sons phone has no working sim.

Got the sim from the nearest currys.

I’m unsure how to order a sim for my sons phone.. can’t see an option in the app..

Can I get another sim from currys and if so how do I activate to another number when my email login only appears to have 1 number, my number registered to it. When I’ve had both numbers for 2+ years..

Hi @Plev ,

I’m really glad to hear your SIM is now working, but I’m sorry your son’s phone is still without service. I can appreciate how inconvenient that must be.

Yes, you can collect a replacement SIM from your nearest Currys store at no extra cost if needed.

Even though both numbers are under your account, each SIM is linked to a specific mobile number. To activate your son’s SIM, you would need to:

• Insert the new SIM into your son’s phone
• Go to www.idmobile.co.uk/yoursim

• Select Activate SIM
• Enter the mobile number linked to your son’s account
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation

It’s normal for the app to show only one number at a time depending on the login profile, but both numbers should still be active under your account in the background.
