Hello, I’m currently paying for SIM only but I’ve just upgraded to a iPhone 17 with ID mobile. Can you let me know how I go about canceling my SIM only contract. I also want to keep my number. Thanks

Thanks for getting in touch.

 

If you upgraded through your existing iD Mobile account, you would not need to cancel your SIM only contract separately, the upgrade replaces the existing plan and your number stays with you.

 

However, if you took out the iPhone 17 as a completely new iD Mobile contract instead of an upgrade, please don’t cancel your SIM only plan yet if you want to keep your number.

 

iD Mobile doesn’t support moving a number internally between two active iD Mobile plans in the usual way, so we’d recommend speaking with Live Chat before making any changes to make sure the correct option is followed and your number is protected.

 

They’ll be able to check how the order was placed and guide you through the next steps.

Hi Gemma,

 

This is a completely new contract I got for my mum, in her own name but when she goes to register the number to start using the phone it says sending OTP code but it never gets to my mums phone with the new Sim in, and she hasnt been able to use it for a week and she is going on holiday tomorrow so im desperate to sort this put for her.
