Urgent - Split port issue, can make calls and send texts, but not receive calls

Hi, 

I'm having the same issue as this post below whereby I have had my number ported over today from Talkmobile to ID mobile (22nd October) and I received a text to say number swap was complete. However now I can make calls and send texts and receive calls from ID mobile numbers, but I cannot receive any other calls or any texts. 
 

I’m I hadn’t put my ID mobile sim into my phone as I didn’t want to associate the temp number to it as it’s a pain to remove after it swaps over.  I only put my sim into my old phone after the porting was complete.  I still need to set my new phone up as I was away at the weekend. 
 

I have been onto chat help for ages and checked all the settings they’ve suggested and even been to Curry’s and got a different sim as they suggested. This still hasn’t changed anything. When I try off another phone it just says number not recognised please check and try again. 
 

I think someone highlighted the post to ID support here for the OP in the link. Try to reply on there but it hasn’t gone on, not sure if this is because it is solved or not.

You need to be patient. Ports can take up until 10pm to complete, and you should wait until the next day before raising any issues.

 

P.S. You should never initiate a SIM swap while a port is in process.

Thank you For the rapid response ​@WelshPaul, the sim swap was instructed by the ID live chat, as they said it was a defective sim. I did question it that it was something on the networks side, but they said it was sim and they could send one out or collect from Currys. 
 

It’s only afterwards that I found the other chat noted above about a split porting. Never had anything like the above before when I’ve ported my number, usually been straight forward and full functionality as soon as they say it’s done. 
 

I will check again in the morning and give an update. Thank you again.

Thank you for your swift response ​@WelshPaul , I did respond last night but it hasn’t been added to the thread. 
 

It was ID live chat that said it was a faulty SIM card, so I went to Curry’s as that was the quickest option. 
 

I’ve tried it again this morning and it still saying ‘you dialled an incorrect number, please check and dial again’.

I can now receive calls and texts from other networks, having issues activating imessage and facetime to my number, tried all of the usual fixes. Will leave it a bit longer before checking with ID.
