Using my phone to call France

Why cant i use my phone to call france from UK also is it possible to call a French number while in france from my uk phone

Calls to French numbers are not included within your standard UK allowance, whether you are calling France from the UK or calling a French number while you are in France, you can read more about this here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/international-and-roaming-charges.

 

To make these calls, you would need to make sure your bill cap allows international usage.

 

Current charges are:

  • £0.18 per minute to French mobile numbers
  • £0.07 per minute to French landlines

If your bill cap is set too low or at £0, the calls may not connect.

 

You can increase the bill cap in the iD Mobile app:

  • Open the app
  • Go to My Services
  • Select Bill Cap
  • Increase the amount and save the changes

 

Once updated, wait a few minutes and then try the call again.
