So by looks of vodafone buying the rest of three shares out in may 2026.

So what will happen to Id mobile sim only plans when vodadone takes full coverage of the network 🤔.

Also with no price rises with ID mobile sim only network that doesn't rise there prices so vodafone going to honor the prices.

Don't think so if they do they probably gives u less speeds unlike id mobile gives upto 500mbps downloads speeds but since Vodafonethree merged getting less than 100mbps download so looks like there the speeds are slower.

Has anyone else's speeds been dropped since Vodafone merged ?.

On a physical front it’ll be at least 18mths before masts are consolidated, so for most there’s no immediate coverage change; you can be certain costs will rise.

I have a V/F PAYG SIM and their charge is 3 times 3’s eg £1 a minute.

Hi @Nathan Etherton,

Thanks for getting in touch.

Although Three and Vodafone have merged, this doesn’t mean iD Mobile customers will automatically move over to Vodafone or start using Vodafone’s plans, pricing, or features.

iD Mobile customers are still regulated by iD Mobile’s plans and network experience, so existing SIM only plans don’t suddenly change because of the merger. If anything were ever to change in future, this would be communicated directly.

With regards to price rises, any charges on your agreement would continue to follow the terms attached to your specific iD Mobile plan rather than Vodafone’s pricing.

On speeds, there shouldn’t be an automatic drop simply because of the merger either. Mobile speeds can naturally fluctuate depending on things like local demand, network optimisation work, signal conditions, engineering activity, and location.

If you’ve noticed slower speeds recently (for example dropping from around 500Mbps to under 100Mbps), it may be worth:

  • Switching between 5G Auto and 4G to test
  • Restarting the device
  • Resetting network settings
  • Testing in another area to compare

Hopefully that gives a bit more reassurance!

Regards,
