I’ve just landed in Cyprus and had 3 voicemails while travelling I call voicemail number and says call to setup voicemail bye and that it 

please any help with this

Thanks for getting in touch and we’re sorry to hear you’re having issues accessing your voicemail while abroad.

 

Voicemail does need to be fully set up while in the UK before travelling, including completing the initial setup and recording a greeting. If this hasn’t been done before leaving the UK, the voicemail service won’t be fully accessible while roaming.

 

Unfortunately, if voicemail hasn’t been set up in the UK beforehand, it cannot be configured or accessed while you are currently abroad.

 

We understand this isn’t ideal, especially when you’ve already received messages, however you should regain full access to voicemail once you’re back in the UK and the setup process can be completed.

I’m not back in the uk for a month so guess I’m going to lose work because it don’t tell who phoned or give me a number of who called

Because you didn’t bother to set up before you left UK; NOT ID’s fault.

This is the first ever voice mail I’ve had in over 5 years didn’t even no that there wasn’t a service that had to be set up as it’s never happened before

I am so sorry to hear that you were not made aware of this, however once you are back in the UK, you can follow the below steps to set-up your voicemail.

 

1. Initial Setup

  • Dial 123 from your iD Mobile phone (or hold the 1 key on your phone's dialler).
  • Follow the automated voice prompts to create a 4–10 digit PIN. Avoid simple sequences like 1234 or 1111.
  • Enter the new PIN followed by the # key, and re-enter it to confirm.
  • Follow the remaining prompts to record a personalised greeting and state your name (or press # to skip naming yourself).

 

2. App Activation (If 123 doesn't work)

  • If your voicemail isn't activated, you can toggle it on directly via the app:
    • Open the iD Mobile App or log in to your account at iD Mobile Account Login.
    • Tap Plan and scroll down to Manage your iD services.
    • Toggle Voicemail to ON and tap Save.

 

Troubleshooting tips:

  • Can't get past PIN setup? Turn off Wi-Fi Calling while setting it up, and make sure to restart your handset.
  • New SIM card? Voicemail can take up to 24 hours to fully activate on a brand-new line.
  • Changing the PIN later: Dial 123 > select 2 (Settings) > select 1 (Change PIN).
