Voicemail numbers unobtainable from Doro phone

My mother has a Doro phone and has two voicemail messages showing. We have tried dialling 123 and the longer number, 07782333123, from her phone, but both are number unobtainable. I can ring the long number from my phone and type in mum’s number, but then it asks for a PIN which we don’t have (I don’t remember ever setting one up). Pressing *6 says that a PIN will be sent through to her phone but it never arrives. I have tried looking on Plan settings in mum’s ID Mobile account, but there is no option to set up or manage voicemail. Any help would be appreciated. They are messages from the surgery so it would be useful to access them. Thank you.

Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your mother’s voicemail, especially when the messages may be important.

 

If both 123 and 07782333123 are currently advising the number is unobtainable from her handset, this can sometimes indicate a temporary voicemail provisioning issue on the line or a network registration problem with the device.

 

As you are being prompted for a voicemail PIN when calling from another phone, it does suggest the voicemail service itself is active, however the PIN may never have been manually set up previously.

 

We’d recommend trying the following first:

  • Restart the handset completely
  • Ensure the phone has network signal and can make normal calls/texts
  • Toggle Airplane Mode on and off if the handset supports this
  • Try calling 123 again after restarting

 

Unfortunately, voicemail PIN management and resets cannot currently be managed through the iD Mobile app or account settings, which is why you would not see the option online.

 

As the PIN reset text is also not arriving, we’d recommend contacting our Live Chat team directly so they can:

  • Check the voicemail service status on the account
  • Reset or remove the voicemail PIN if needed
  • Refresh the voicemail provisioning on the line
