Hi @Jalaly

Thank you for reaching out. I do apologise however you would have to change the details on the app.

To change your Direct Debit in the iD Mobile app, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the iD Mobile app and log in.
  2. Go to Account or Billing (depending on your app version).
  3. Select Payment settings or Direct Debit details.
  4. Tap Update payment method or Change Direct Debit.
  5. Enter your new bank account details and confirm the changes.

Please note:

  • Any changes to your Direct Debit may take up to one billing cycle to fully update.
  • If a payment is already pending, it may still be taken from your previous bank details.
  • Make sure the new account is active and able to accept Direct Debits to avoid any disruption.

“I’m trying to change my Direct Debit details( sort code and account ) but the app keeps showing ‘Something went wrong’. Can you update it manually for me?”

Hi @Tesi

We are unable to update this manually for you as we do not have the secure link on our end to perform the task.

I would advise contacting our Live Chat team at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat or by phone on 0800 049 2376, and they will be able to assist you further with the matter.

I have the same problem. The first time I used the live-chat the agent said they would reset my account. It still didn't work.

The second person I live-chatted to wasn't any help.

The Third person said they can reset my account to which I replied someone has already done that but they looked further into it and reset my account. Any it still won't let me change my direct debit details. I tried that above number but it is for vulnerable people or people with accessibility needs.
