why am i not recieving my texts

I am not receiving texts on my phone. I am currently in Spain and have unlimited roaming. I am receiving calls but no texts which means I cannot access my bank accounts

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble receiving texts while roaming in Spain, especially when you need them for banking verification codes.

 

As you’re able to receive calls, it does sound like your roaming service is partially connected, so we’d recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Turn your phone fully off and back on.
  2. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then turn it off again.
  3. Make sure Data Roaming is turned on in your phone settings.
  4. Try selecting a different network:
  • Go to Settings > Mobile Network > Network Selection
  • Turn off Automatic
  • Try another available network in Spain
  • If you have an iPhone, also check:
  1. Settings > Messages > Send as SMS is turned on.

I have tried all those things and nothing helps

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry to hear you’re having issues receiving texts while abroad, especially as I understand how important this is for accessing your bank accounts.

 

As you’re currently in Spain, please try manually selecting a different network on your phone and connect to either Yoigo or Movistar, as these are our recommended roaming partners.

 

Once connected, restart your device and then try to resend/receive your texts again.
