Can only use WiFi calling in my area but calls drop during conversation. Your coverage map states excellent 4G coverage but only get 1 bar hence why have to use WiFi calling. We also have to stick it on airplane mode due to pixel not switching to WiFi calling automatically. Never had this issue when we were on Vodafone previously!!

Hi @skippyajb ,

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m sorry to hear about the dropped calls and coverage issues, I know how frustrating that can be.
Even if the coverage map shows strong 4G, real-world signal can vary.

-Airplane Mode Workaround: If your Pixel doesn’t switch to WiFi calling automatically, turning on Airplane Mode and then enabling WiFi can force it to use WiFi calling.
-Preferred Calling Method: Some Pixel models allow you to set WiFi as the preferred method. If available, change the setting to “Call over WiFi”.
-Router Placement & Signal Strength: Ensure your router is in an open space and not overloaded with devices. A weak or congested WiFi signal can cause dropped calls.
-Update Your Software: Make sure your phone is running the latest version of Android, as updates often fix connectivity bugs.

Kind regards,

Lamiya

Hi @skippyajb

Thanks for your reply.

Have you tried a replacement SIM previously or tried your SIM in another handset to rule out a device issue?

Thanks,

Natalie
