Recently whilst travelling on a ferry between Hull (UK) and Rotterdam (Netherlands), and whilst my phone was inside an inside cabin on the ferry, i.e. within a giant Faraday Cage, my account was debited for £10 worldwide Roaming charge - £10 being the cap value I had established. This was at the time when my phone had “No Service” and i was asleep overnight.
The ferry route from the UK to Netherlands would not have allowed the phone to “see” any cell towers in non EU countries, indeed the Faraday Cage would have prevented the phone from seeing anything.
Why then have I been charged this additional £10?
