Hi, I just landed in turkey and there was about 30 seconds between turning airplane mode off and my data off (literally clicked airplane mode off, then immediately turned data off) and I have had £25 added to my bill? What is going on? Please remove this charge or I will change provider when I get back to the uk, I have since purchased an add on for data while I’m here for £20, £25 for less than a minute is reallY bad I didn’t even use the data

Hi @Charlieow99

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I am sorry to hear about the unexpected charge while travelling.

Kindly note that when Airplane Mode is switched off, your phone can automatically connect to a local network and begin using chargeable services, including mobile data, even if this only occurs for a very short period. This can result in roaming charges being applied before mobile data is manually turned off.

However, we are happy to look into this for you please send us a private message via our socials at ( Facebook or Instagram) or via our live chat at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Thank you,
