Hi

Last year I got a new contract for my son with phone and cancelled his £10 a month SIM only. All sorted I then went through my direct debits the other day realising it was still there so deleted the direct debit. Now got a bill final notice for £10. I tried finding out what's happened but of course can not get hold of anyone they even gave an old number that is no longer in use for the automated service which of course tells me I have nothing outstanding because it is on my phone number but how do I get hold of someone to explain this has been cancelled about a year and I only just realised I have been paying £10 a month for the past year for a phone number that is not even connected anymore as when I call it it tells me it is no longer available.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi @Annhan

I’m sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration this has caused.

Please note that cancelling a Direct Debit does not automatically cancel a mobile plan or contract, as outlined in our terms and conditions. The Direct Debit only stops the payment method, and the agreement itself would still remain active unless a cancellation request was completed successfully.

As there appears to be some uncertainty around whether the SIM-only plan was fully disconnected, we would recommend contacting our Live Chat team or messaging us via Facebook or Instagram so this can be fully investigated for you.

An agent will then be able to review the account history, confirm the status of the plan, and advise you further regarding the charges and final notice.
