Change ownership of line and account

Hi,

I have three lines on my account. I need to change one of the lines so my son now pays for it himself

Thanks for getting in touch I understand why you’d want to separate that line for your son.

 

I do need to be clear here: iD Mobile doesn’t currently support a Change of Ownership process, so we’re unable to transfer a single line from your account into another person’s name or billing responsibility.

 

📌 What this means in practice:

  • Your son can’t take over the existing line on your account
  • We also can’t internally move the number to a new account
  • iD Mobile systems don’t support internal number or ownership switches between accounts

🔄 What can be done instead:

Your son would need to:

  • Take out a new iD Mobile contract in his own name
  • A new number with that new connection will be provided

If keeping the existing number is important, you could explore porting it out using a PAC code, and port back in via the new account.
