I have looked at my recent bill as I used the phone as an emergency in India.
I then realised that before I went to India I sent texts to my customers but it was sent as an MMS and I’ve been charged 55p for each text. Why would it send as an MMS

 Hi @ironeasyqueen

Thanks for your message. I understand why the MMS charges would be concerning.

As mentioned, any message that includes emojis, images, or other media is treated as an MMS, which is why the 55p charge applied.

To help prevent unexpected out-of-plan charges like this in the future, you can set a bill cap of £0. This will stop your account from incurring any additional charges outside of your monthly plan. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your iD Mobile online account or app.
  1. Go to the Billing or Account Settings section.
  1. Select Set Bill Cap.
  1. Enter £0 as your cap amount and confirm.

Once set, you won’t be charged for out-of-plan usage, including MMS, data usage, or premium rate numbers.

If you’d like us to review the MMS charges in detail, please contact our support team directly via live chat or social platforms.
