Question

contract ending soon

Hello.

My 24 months contract ends on 31st of May and I wish to keep the phone but I also want to keep my phone number and stay on ID Mobile. I have no idea how to check if after 31st I am still going to be billed £30.84 a month just for the current:

“25GB data

Unlimited minutes

Unlimited texts”

If so how do I cancel this as I do not need so much data nor unlimited minutes and texts? Should I just wait until after the 31st?

Thank you!

    Hi @Malcolm Astle

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

I can confirm that once your 24-month minimum term ends on 31st May, your contract with iD Mobile will automatically continue on a rolling monthly basis unless you choose to make changes.

This means you would continue to be billed at your current monthly rate of £30.84 for the same plan (25GB data, unlimited minutes, and unlimited texts) unless you take action to change it.

If you would prefer a lower-cost plan or reduced allowances, you do not need to cancel your number or leave iD Mobile. You can:

Switch to a SIM-only plan that better suits your usage
Downgrade to a cheaper plan after your contract ends
Or continue on the rolling plan temporarily while you decide

There is no need to wait until after 31st May to make changes you can explore and switch plans at any time near the end of your contract without losing your number.

    Thank you,

Thank you. I would like to Downgrade to a cheaper plan after your contract ends but the only options I see when clicking Change my plan are £29.99a month and £31.99a month.

    Hi  @Malcolm Astle ,

Are you looking for a phone deal or a SIM only deal?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I would like a SIM only deal as far as I am aware the phone should now be mine and fully paid off. I was just billed £30.84 but yet my plan says “£6 per month”. What do I need to do here? Thanks.

    Hi @Malcolm Astle,

Thanks for coming back to us.

If you've recently changed to a SIM Only plan, the higher bill could potentially be due to pro-rata charges, where charges from your previous plan and your new plan overlap within the same billing period.
