Hi

i am in Corfu and just got charged £45 for data roaming when I have over 190GB and roaming is covered in Greece. I am not in Albania! How do I get charges removed from my bill please?

Hi @Chewitt,

We're sorry to hear about the unexpected £45 roaming charge and understand why you're concerned, particularly as you're in Corfu and have roaming included in Greece.

When travelling, your handset can sometimes automatically connect to a different roaming network, including networks that aren't part of the expected partner network for your destination. This can result in chargeable roaming usage even when roaming is included on your plan.

This is why we strongly recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0 before travelling. This helps prevent unexpected out-of-plan roaming charges if your handset connects to a chargeable network.

We'd recommend contacting us via Live Chat so our team can complete the necessary security checks, review the roaming usage and investigate the £45 charge further for you.

We apologise for the concern and inconvenience this has caused and hope we can help resolve this for you.

Hi the exact same thing is happening to me I'm being billed for roaming Albania but I was in Corfu tried speaking to customer service and was the rudest woman I've ever spoke too and said I must of been in Albania.

Same thing has happened to me. I need my phone to have data whilst travelling around. I am now going to be forced to pay for an albania add on so I can have data, even though I am in Corfu Greece which should be covered in data roaming

Customer service is a waste of time I won't be getting refunded best thing to go is buy another SIM card before you get changed extortionate rates by id mobile

What a joke. I tried to speak to someone on the live chat yesterday to ask for advice on what to do as I am still here for another 9 days. They said they can’t do anything now and to contact them when my next bill is due🤷‍♀️

I have dyslexia and haven't got a clue about changing phone settings best thing to do is take your SIM card out and get another one as I'd mobile is complete waste of time and is cheaper to get pay as you go SIM card with another operator
