Credit file reporting confirmation request

Hi iD Mobile team,

I have a question about credit-file reporting on my account.

Live chat advised that my balance is now fully paid, the account remains active, and the entries showing on iD’s side are missed-payment markers only, with no default visible.

Could someone please confirm how I can get written confirmation from the relevant credit-file/reporting team of exactly what has been reported to the credit reference agencies?

I will not post any personal account details publicly.

Thank you.

Hi @Damian3434,

Thanks for getting in touch.

If your balance has now been brought up to date, it can take up to 30 days for this to be reflected with the credit reference agencies and for your account to show as settled on your credit file.

Once this update has been processed, the information reported to the credit reference agencies should reflect the current status of your account.

Regards,

Hi @Gemma M ,

Thank you. I understand the credit file update can take up to 30 days.

My question is about the type of reporting rather than the update timeframe. Are you able to check whether the account has been reported as missed/late payments only, rather than a default?

I’m happy to provide account details privately if needed.

Thank you.

Missed payments are just as detrimental as a default. They demonstrate to lenders that you consistently make late payments and are struggling financially.
