direct debit

Hi I had a issue with my direct debit last month because I have changed banks and forgot to change it. You then cancelled my direct debit and I just made a card payment to pay my bill. When I went back a few days later to set up a new direct debit you said I had to pay my bill again, which I did before I could set up direct debit. Which I did so my bill for this month has been paid. I have just received a txt this morning though saying you are taking the direct debit for this month which has already been paid.

We understand your concern regarding the payment. As you recently made a card payment and have now set up a new Direct Debit, it’s possible that the message you received was sent automatically while the payment was already being processed on the account.
