Apologies in advance for a question that’s probably been asked 1 million times but we are going to France for a week next week and my understanding is that I can make phone calls in France back to the UK at exactly the same call rates as if I were back home in the UK - and I believe it applies to landlines as well as to mobile phones. I believe also that data rates are the same as well - in other words - whether I am in the UK uploading and downloading or whether I am in France doing the same thing, it makes absolutely no difference?  If I have got any of this wrong, please let me know.

thanks Pete

    Hi @Pete2000

You are correct in your thinking!
This is what you will find if you get the information off the iD Mobile site:-
Great news! France is one of our free Roaming destinations which means that you can use your monthly data allowance and add-ons at no extra cost, up to 30GB.

Make sure that you have Roaming set up on your phone and account:-

There is a fair use policy with regards to Roaming:-

Another thing to be aware of is if you are visiting an area in France that is on the coast then you may inadvertantly connect to a maritime satellite without realising it. These are the charges for doing so:-
