How To Pay Off Plan Early

I am looking to pay-off my sim & phone plan early and look at going to SIM only. How do I do this and I assume I keep the phone?

Welcome to the Community!

You can’t upgrade early by paying a fee unfortunately.

However you can terminate the current contract and purchase a new SIM only contract. Unfortunately you won’t be able to move the number to the new iD Mobile account but you can look at a triangle port instead.

I am not looking to upgrade, just to pay off early and move to sim-only. How would I go about doing this?

Hi ​@xAJ27x,

Just to advise you won’t be able to move the number to a different iD Mobile contract as we don’t allow internal number ports.

We can simply disconnect your old account with 30 days notice. However if you purchase a new contract it would be subject to a credit check.

Sorry I am getting more confused at the moment.

 

In short;

1. can I pay off my remaining phone & sim contract and own the phone after? Yes or no.

  1. If yes, how do I do this?

I am not looking to keep my old number

Hi ​@xAJ27x,

Once you process a disconnection and pay the outstanding charge the contract will cancel.

You own the phone as long as you keep up with payments.

If you would like a disconnection please let us know and we can process the cancellation for the contract.

So if I went with a disconnection, and pay the outstanding charges, I will own my phone and choose what I want to do with it?
