Because you are currently in Portugal and calling a Dublin number, your calls are completely free of charge and will just come out of your monthly minutes allowance.

Both Portugal and Ireland are in our Band 1 (EU) roaming destination list. Under our Roam Like at Home policy, when you are roaming in a Band 1 country, you can call any other Band 1 country using your standard allowance at no extra cost.

Just a couple of quick things to keep in mind:

• The Number Type: The +353 1 prefix is a standard Dublin landline, which is fully covered. However, please ensure the specific number isn't a premium, corporate, or special rate service, as those incur extra fees.

• Fair Use: This applies as long as you spend more time using your phone in the UK than abroad over a rolling 4-month period.
