I’m sorry you’re having trouble with this I can appreciate you just wanting to bring your monthly cost down, especially now you’re out of contract and the device is already paid off.

 

Just to clarify how it works with iD Mobile:

 

📉 Changing your plan

Even if you’re out of contract, plan changes to a different tariff (including SIM-only or lower-cost plans) can only be done:

  • Within the allowed change window, which is 24 days before your next billing cycle/contract end point

Outside of that window, the system won’t allow a downgrade or tariff change immediately.

 

🔧 What you can do now

You have two options:

📱 1. Check in the iD Mobile app / account

  • Go to Plan / Change Plan
  • If you’re within the eligibility window, you’ll see available SIM-only or lower-cost options there


📞 2. Speak to our Sales Team

If you don’t see the option in the app, you can also contact:

  • 0800 049 0250

They can check your account and advise on the earliest available downgrade options for you.
