I turned on the wrong line by accident for no more than 5 seconds - for which I was charged £45.

    Hi @Phil772,

I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected £45 charge, especially when the line was only enabled for a very short period.

When roaming in a country where your UK allowances aren't included, charges can build up very quickly once your phone connects to the overseas network and starts using chargeable services. Information about roaming destinations and the applicable charges can be found here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-support/roaming

Unfortunately, roaming usage that has already taken place is non-refundable, even if the line was enabled accidentally.

To help prevent this from happening again, we'd recommend setting your bill cap to £0.00:

    • Log in to the iD Mobile app or My Account.
    • Go to Bills.
    • Select Manage Bill Cap.
    • Set the cap to £0.00 and save the change.

This will help prevent chargeable out-of-plan usage if your iD Mobile line is accidentally enabled while abroad.

    Regards,
