With iD Mobile’s Refer a Friend scheme, the reward you receive is actually based on your own current plan, not the plan your friend purchases.

So for example:

• If you’re on a lower value SIM-only plan, the referral reward may be £5.
• Higher value or handset plans can qualify for larger rewards (like £40)

This means that even if your friend took out a 24-month SIM-only plan, your reward is still determined by the type of plan the both of you have taken.

A few key things to keep in mind:

• Your friend must complete their order using your unique referral link
• Rewards are usually confirmed after the cooling-off period
• The value of the reward is tied to the referrer’s plan at the time of referral

Thank you for replying Gemma, however I don’t see any mention of the amount of the referrer’s or purchaser’s current plan affecting the cashback amount.

Could you please confirm if the person you referred purchased a 24-month unlimited data plan? This is the plan that qualifies for the £20 Refer a Friend reward (£10 each).

If they chose the 24-month unlimited data SIM-only plan instead, it would fall under the £10 cashback offer (£5 each).
