We're sorry to hear you've already used your allowance.

This can sometimes happen when you get a new phone, as it may automatically download app updates, restore your data from a backup, sync photos and files, and update your operating system in the background.

To help reduce your data usage, we'd recommend connecting to Wi-Fi whenever possible and checking which apps are using the most data.

On iPhone:

• Go to Settings > Mobile Service (or Cellular).
• Scroll down to see which apps are using mobile data.
• Turn Mobile Data off for any apps you don't want using it in the background.
• You can also go to Settings > App Store and disable Automatic Downloads over mobile data.

On Android:

• Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > App Data Usage (wording may vary by device).
• Select apps individually and restrict their background data usage if needed.
• You can also open the Google Play Store > Settings > Network Preferences and set app updates to Wi-Fi only.

If you continue to use more data than expected, you may want to review your usage in your settings to see which apps are consuming the most data.
