I don’t understand when my plan amount is £7.00 per month, why for my second month the aount is £8.20 due for collection on February 10th. I see the March amount has reverted to £7.00?

Hi @Rosemary Martin

With regards to your monthly payment being above what was expected and Out Of Plan charges (as itemised on your bill):-

This info informs you about the different OOP charges:-
https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/call-charges

Under the International Charges header you will find a link to check the number you were charged for.

If you don’t want any surprise costs then you can cap your bill.
Set it to the maximum £ you want to pay then you will know that your bill will be no greater than that month to month:-

Tap on Bills, scroll down to Manage bill cap, move the slider to where you want and click Save.

Your March bill states £7 due to it being your basic package cost (without any OOP charges that you may incur) and you will only know the final cost once your bill has been raised, if the bill cap has not been set.

As to voicemail, have you set it up? How are you accessing it?

Hope this helps x

Hi @Rosemary Martin

Thank you for reaching out. I am so sorry about any confusion caused regarding your billing.

As you mentioned, your monthly line rental is £7.00. However, the higher bill amount of £8.20 suggests that you may have been charged for out-of-plan services.

Out-of-plan services are any usage or services that aren’t included in your monthly plan allowance and are charged separately. When you check your bill, you should see a full breakdown showing what the additional charges were for.

If you require further assistance with this, you are more than welcome to get in touch with us privately as we will require your account details and we’d be happy to look into this for you.

Thanks,

Anneline

Hi Anneline

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have negotiated my bill and noticed a £1.00 international call. I don’t know anybody abroad to phone and certainly haven’t made such a call. I am not actually much of a mobile user and have barely used the phone since I have purchased it but am still delighted with it and all that it has to offer. However, all I can think of is that I had difficulty accessing ‘voicemail’ for the first time which I did on the evening of Friday January 16th? Could that throw some light over the matter?

I would appreciate your help.

Many thanks

Rosemary Martin

Yes, everything very helpful, thank you. All I will say, is that it must be very easy to err when setting up voicemail as I certainly never intentionally made an international call.

Hi @Rosemary Martin ,

You’re right, it’s very easy to accidentally trigger international calls or settings when setting up voicemail or using the phone for the first time. It happens to a lot of people, so don’t worry, the important thing is it’s sorted now.
