I was charged £6.10 for roaming, with no details.  I assume this was when I passed through Zurich Airport. But I switched off roaming as soon as yout TXT informed me I would be charged.  It seems strange to be be charged more than my monthly bill for minimal contact and data.

Hi @DTx

Thank you for getting in touch.

I understand your concerns regarding the £6.10 roaming charge, especially as you switched roaming off as soon as you received the text message notification.

Please note that roaming charges can sometimes be incurred as soon as your device connects to a network in a roaming destination. This may include any calls, texts, or data usage that occurred before roaming was disabled. In some cases, a device may briefly use data in the background when connecting to a foreign network, which can result in a charge being applied. We recommend setting bill cap to £0.00 before travelling to avoid unexpected charges.

To determine exactly what the £6.10 charge relates to, we would need to review the itemised usage on your account. Once reviewed, we'll be able to confirm whether the charge was for data usage, calls, texts, or another roaming-related service. Please send us a private message via our socials (Facebook or Instagram).

Thank you,
