Just to clarify, if you take out a new iD Mobile plan through a partner website (such as Carphone Warehouse or other retailers), this is still an iD Mobile contract. In many cases, it would be treated as a new line or an additional contract rather than a direct “upgrade” on your existing account, depending on how it’s set up at the point of sale.

Therefore, pricing, handset offers, and promotions can sometimes differ between our direct upgrade offers and those available through retail partners.

If you’re unsure what would be best for your situation, it may be worth comparing both options side by side before making a decision, as either route would still keep you with iD Mobile.

Could I take out a new contract through Carphone Warehouse then transfer my existing ID mobile number afterwards? Upgrade deals are not as good as new deals via CPW

I understand you’re looking into the available deals and wanting to keep your existing iD Mobile number.

Please note that iD Mobile does not support transferring a mobile number from one iD Mobile account to another. This means you would not be able to take out a new iD Mobile contract through Carphone Warehouse and then transfer your existing iD Mobile number onto that new iD Mobile account.

If you would like to keep your current number, you would need to discuss the available upgrade options on your existing account.
