Hi, I’ve just taken out another iD Mobile contract as my previous one had come to an end. I don’t intend to leave iD Mobile, I only want to keep my existing number. I’ve received a text saying I’ll be charged an estimated final bill of £164.65 if I use my PAC. I don’t believe I should be charged this, as I’m staying with iD Mobile. Can you please explain why this charge has been applied and help me transfer my number to my new iD Mobile contract without cancelling my service?

Hi @Chloemcn00,

For your security, we'd recommend never sharing personal account information on a public forum, such as PAC codes, account numbers or other account-specific details.

Regarding your query, iD Mobile doesn't support internal number transfers, so it's not possible to move your existing number directly from one iD Mobile account or plan to another. The only ways to keep your number are by upgrading the plan that currently has the number or by transferring the number to or from a different network provider using a PAC.

Based on the estimated final bill you've mentioned, it appears that your original contract may not have reached its end date yet, which is why using a PAC would trigger cancellation charges.

The best course of action would be to contact the point of sale where you took out the new contract to discuss cancelling the new plan (if you're still within their returns period). Then, contact our Customer Service team via Live Chat so they can confirm your original contract end date. If you're eligible, they can transfer you to our Sales Team to arrange the correct upgrade on your existing plan, allowing you to keep your number.

Regards,
