paying twice for the same mobile number

I upgraded my SIM and have noticed I am being charged twice for the same mobile number.  I cancelled my direct debit for my old sim but keep being told I have an outstanding balance every month of £8 and need to pay it now even though I paid the first amount , thinking it was a balance from my old sim.  My old sim was for £34 my new sim is for £8 which is paid by direct debit

It seems you bought a second plan instead of upgrading your current one.
