Unfortunately, we're unable to reduce or pause your monthly plan charges while you're abroad and then return the price to normal when you come back to the UK. Your monthly line rental will continue as usual while the contract remains active.

As you're not planning to use your iD Mobile service while travelling, we'd recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0 to prevent any additional out-of-plan charges, such as chargeable roaming usage.

You can set your Bill Cap to £0 through the iD Mobile app:

1. Open the iD Mobile app and sign in.
2. Select your mobile number.
3. Go to Manage or Bill Cap.
4. Select £0 as your Bill Cap.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the change.

If you don't need to use your iD Mobile service while abroad, we'd also recommend switching off your iD Mobile SIM/eSIM in your handset settings to prevent it from connecting to a roaming network.
