Question

Refund on 7x direct debit payments

When I started my current contract, I initially took a deal I found through a comparison website. I had assumed this signed me in to my existing iD mobile account but it did not and instead created a new account. From memory, I requested this contract be cancelled and then I took out a new contract directly through the website so that it was attributed to my account and number.

I have just found out that the direct debit which was setup for the initial account that was not correctly attributed and subsequently cancelled has still been active and taking monthly payments of £10. I have now cancelled the DD and requested an indemnity refund for the most recent payment, however their are 7 other payments of £10 that I need a refund for.

My bank require me to go through a process for each individual DD payment - is this something iD mobile can refund me in one go or put as credit on my correct account for the full £70 remaining or will I have to go through the banks long winded process?

Thanks

Hi @Harrence12,

We're sorry to hear this has happened.

As this relates to payments on an account and will require us to investigate what happened, it's not something we're able to look into here on the Community.

Please get in touch with our Customer Service team via Live Chat, who'll be able to review both accounts and advise on the available options regarding the payments and any refund that may be due.

You can contact them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Regards,
