riaming charges despite tirning data off

I have just been to carribean.  I turned my data off as soon as I landed.  I have a charge of £61 odd in data roaming charges? How do I contest this?

We're sorry to hear about the unexpected roaming charges and understand why this would be concerning.

 

One possible reason for these charges is that the handset may have connected to a mobile network before mobile data was disabled, or background data activity may have occurred while roaming. To help prevent this in future, we recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0 before travelling abroad, as this helps prevent out-of-plan roaming charges from being incurred.

 

You can manage your Bill Cap by:

  • Logging in to the iD Mobile app
  • Selecting Services
  • Choosing Manage Bill Cap
  • Setting the Bill Cap to £0
