Roaming Charges

Hi, I recently travelled to Asia I purchased my own esims to avoid charges. As I landed in Singapore my phone came on before I had chance to switch off my ID SIM, the phone was on for 5 mins at the most and no calls or messages / internet were made or accessed. I've been charged £30 on my bill for that period is there a way of getting this refunded?

Thanks for getting in touch. I’m sorry to hear about the unexpected £30 charge.

While we understand that the usage may have been unintentional, if your iD SIM connected and used chargeable roaming services while in Singapore, the charges would be valid. Our website provides information on roaming costs and advises keeping mobile data switched off to avoid out-of-plan charges when arriving abroad.

For future travel, we’d recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0 before you leave. This prevents chargeable out-of-plan usage where your inclusive allowances don’t apply.
