I hope there’s someone out there who can help.
My 92 year old father-in-law took out a monthly sim only plan in July. After a couple of months he lost the phone so he went out and bought himself a new one (with a new contract). He then made the classic mistake of cancelling the direct debit without cancelling the contract.
He’s now received an email from ID mobile because he hadn’t paid. I went up today to sort it out (he’s just over an hour away from me) but there were loads of problems when I was trying to access his account online (presumably connected to the Amazon web problems today).
I’ve just got home and was able to login to his account. However, when I tried to add his old phone number to it, I got stuck because I obviously cant receive the code that is sent to it by SMS.
I just want to pay off the outstanding amount and cancel the contract. Is there any other way I can do this (preferably without having to travel up to him again). I’ve got a copy of the original invoice with customer number, transaction number etc if any of that will help.
