unable to change bank details for direct debit

I need to change the bank details for my direct debit - I use METTLE - but get an error message when jniutting the details. 
 

The message is just “oops” with no further info.

You’ll probably need to use the iD Live Chat service to resolve this issue with your direct debit, ​@darenbavister
