Understanding New charges on upgrade.

I have just upgraded to a new sim only plan and the App tells mr that I will be charged £7.59 on my next DD, which I understand reflects a £1 extra on my monthly payment plus a small adjustment to reflect a short period of upgrade from my previous plan. This I can understand.
HOWEVER I have also had an email from them saying that they are also going to charge me £3  for my New Plan on the same date as my earlier DD’s, and I CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS PAYMENT IS FOR. Can anybody out there explain this??

    Hi @KazOG.

    Thank you for your post.

This requires us to access your account and check the breakdown of both the £7.59 and the £3 charge, the best next step is to contact us directly via live chat: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

Our team can pull up your account, explain exactly what each charge is for, and confirm how your upgrade and billing cycle have been applied.

    Thanks,

    Hi Marquerita

Thanks for your reply to my question.

I did as you suggested, and after a lengthy Chat with a Bot that couldn’t understand the question, i  then asked someone to call me, and I was passed to an actual person, and the matter was eventually resolved, and was told to ignore the £3 email.  Also that the £7.59 figure, as I thought was correct.

I’m not sure how long this actually took, from my original question to the iD community, but I’m also sure that it could have been solved by a simple phone call, and iD are after all, a phone company!!

.Lastly I also deal with my wife’s iD Mobile Sim contract, and she also received the ‘IGNORABLE’ £3 email, after I had also upgraded her contract. So there must be a glitch in iD’s System’s. Which needs sorting out!!

    Cheers
