I currently had an ID mobile account linked to 2 numbers, one for me and one for my son. However he has now turned 18 and would like him to have the contract himself directly with ID mobile.

How do I swap this over?

    Hi @Carlos6600

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm happy to clarify the options available now that your son has turned 18.

Unfortunately, we're unable to transfer ownership of an existing iD Mobile contract directly into your son's name. He would need to take out a new iD Mobile contract in his own name, subject to the usual eligibility and credit checks.

If he would like to keep the mobile number currently assigned to his line, there is a way to transfer it to his new contract:

    1. Request a PAC for the existing iD Mobile number.
    2. Use the PAC to transfer the number to a Pay As You Go SIM with another network provider.
    3. Once the transfer has successfully completed, request a new PAC from that provider.
    4. Provide the new PAC when transferring the number to your son's new iD Mobile contract.

This process allows the number to be moved from the existing iD Mobile account to the new iD Mobile contract, as iD Mobile doesn't support direct internal transfers between two iD Mobile accounts.

If your son doesn't need to keep the existing number, he can simply take out a new iD Mobile contract with a new number.

We appreciate your understanding, and we hope this clarifies how your son can take over the service now that he's 18.
