why my bill is so high

Hi I just want to asked why my bill is so high? I have been in Tunis but I haven't used my phone ther outside the hotel. Only I have got message from you and thats all.

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear about the high bill I understand this can be worrying.
 

Even if you haven’t actively used your phone outside the hotel, if your SIM is switched on and mobile data is enabled, some apps and background services may still use data automatically. This includes things like app updates, email sync, or notifications, which can contribute to higher charges when roaming.
 

To help prevent unexpected charges, we strongly recommend setting a Bill Cap to £0. This ensures you won’t be charged for any usage outside of your plan. You can do this easily in the iD Mobile app:

  1. Log in to the iD Mobile app.
  2. Go to Account > My Bill Cap (or Spending Cap).
  3. Set the cap to £0 and save your changes.

This way, even if your phone connects to data in the background, you won’t incur extra charges.
