4G network will not activate

I have recently swapped my phone but I keep getting ‘not registered on network’ errors when trying to make outbound calls.  Incoming calls appear to be going straight to answerphone.  Also, although not sure if it’s connected, the 4G network will not activate either.  Any ideas?

It’s likely a different firmware variant is installed. Was it originally supplied by another network?

Does 4G show as icon on phone?

Suggest you pursue via ID Chat.

That’s an old phone and it’s not on the iD Mobile approved device list.

It was working fine on my other Samsung S8 Edge phone that I was using one  - two weeks ago.

Hi @AlSherren,

Could you please confirm the model number of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge you are currently using?

The SM-G950F model supports 4G LTE, and it’s possible that the device you’re currently using may be a different variant that does not fully support 4G. This could explain the issue you’re experiencing.

You can check the model number by going to Settings > About phone on your device.

You need to flash the phone with a UK Generic firmware variant.
