Hiya,

 

i got a monthly iPhone deal from currys and 500GB ID mobile sim. This is my date 2 and the signal is so terrible and I turn off WiFi, I can’t even send a whatsapp message. 
 

before purchasing I checking the coverage and it said “excellent” 4G and 5G in RG41 postcode. Obviously this is misleading. This is 2024 guys, if you can provide the service just say it. 
One of the important factor to me was roaming point- but didn’t know that it won’t even perform properly in the UK. 
 

i am considering to return this as this they are not performing their contractual obligations. 
my question- do I cancel ID mobile first and then reach out to currys to cancel the phone deal? What is the procedure for that.

I’m sorry to hear this, please could you let us know the full postcode(s) where you’re having issues?

 

If you wish to make a return, we’d recommend contacting the vendor you purchased through directly, you don’t need to come to iD Mobile separately to Currys.

Same here got the deal as well Regret it ! Rather pay more and have good service! My phone is offline since last night was told to wait 48hours for them to call ne  tried sim swap reseted network settings etc nothing works completly offlince NO SERVICE.also showed my postcode excellent network but cant even make a call 

 

check your coverage here it shows clearly for me poor network where iD website says excelent its trash this network will be cancelling the contract as well need to call carphonewarehouse tomorrow

I confirm very poor unusable connection in RG40 1LQ area.  Sadly will have to leave IDmobile.  Ironically it worked perfectly when on holiday in Spain.

I thought it was a signal strength problem but I noticed that for data (I haven't tested with voice calls) during the day the data rate is unusable.  But late at night it improves a lot. So I guess it's a bandwidth problem.

I will do some speed tests to get actual numbers
