Bringing my old number from Vodafone to ID

My old number switch was completed about 2 weeks ago, when I call iPhone or Android it correctly shows the number I brought with me I I text my sons iPhone it correctly shows the number I brought with me. However when I text my wife's android phone it shows the number I was assigned from ID. I've reset network settings about 50 times, rebooted the phone and toggled airplane mode switch about the same amount.

Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry to hear this is still happening.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like most services have updated correctly after the number transfer, but one route is still showing the original iD Mobile number. This can sometimes happen if the network registration or SIM provisioning hasn’t refreshed fully.

As you’ve already tried restarting and Airplane Mode, we’d recommend a full network reset:

iPhone

Go to Settings
Tap General
Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone
Tap Reset
Select Reset Network Settings

Android

Go to Settings
Tap System (or General Management)
Tap Reset
Select Reset Network Settings

Please note this removes saved WiFi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.

After the reset:

Restart the phone
Send a test SMS again

If the issue still continues afterwards, please contact Live Chat and ask them to check whether a replacement SIM is needed, as that can sometimes resolve number display and provisioning issues after a port.
